The Cook County Historical Society operates the Cook County Historical Museum at 8 South Broadway in Grand Marais, and the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery at 115 Wisconsin Street in Grand Marais, in addition to several historical sites -- including the Chippewa City Church and Bally Blacksmith Shop.
Exhibit: "Music from the Tip o' the Arrowhead" features 100 years of local music. As part of this “growing” exhibit, community members are encouraged to add their own memories and memorabilia to the community music scrapbook, as well as to play a tune on the exhibit’s electric piano.
Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. Museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays. More information is available at 387-2883 or online.
