Wednesday Cook County AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Meetings

There are regular meetings of AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA in Cook County.
Wednesdays in Lutsen, there is an Al-Anon Family Support group meeting at the Lutsen Town Hall at 7 p.m.

There are regular meetings of AA, Al-Anon, and CoDependents Anonymous in Cook County and there's a complete weekly schedule on our website, wtip.org.
On Thursdays:
There's a Women's AA meeting, noon at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais;
There's an AA open meeting and discussion, 6:30 pm in the Lutsen Fire Hall meeting room;
There's an AA meeting, 7 pm in the Grand Portage Lodge, Room 232;
There's an AA Big Book Study Group, 7 pm at the Senior Center in Grand Marais.

Every Friday at 7 a.m. there's an AA Big Book Study Group Open Meeting at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais

Cook County School District Summer Meals

Cook County School District will be serving summer food for children 18 and under. Breakfast will be served Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 9:15 am and Lunches will also be Monday through Thursday from 11:15 to 12:15 at the school cafeteria.

Bird Banding Demonstration

Sugarloaf Cove

On Thursdays from 7 a.m. to noon, Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center will be banding birds and monitoring the populations of songbirds that nest and travel through Sugarloaf Cove and adding to the growing research on North Shore birds. The public is invited to stop by to learn more about the banding process and its importance in understanding the lifespan, movement, and productivity of songbirds. West End Pickleball

Local food market

The Local Food Market will be every Thursday, beginning June 14 through mid-October, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center.  Vendors will be outside in the parking lot if the weather is nice or indoors if the weather is not very nice.  More information at (218)-387-3015

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery meets every Thursday at the Free Church in Grand Marais with a dinner starting at 5:30 and a program at 6:00 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a faith-based program aimed at helping people find healing from addiction and other "hurts and hang-ups." 

Stone Bridge Singers fundraiser

The Stone Bridge Singers of Grand Portage have been offered a unique cultural exchange opportunity—they have been invited to take part in a music festival in France in July. The community is hosting several events to help the Stone Bridge Singers make this journey. Grand Portage American Legion Post 2009 is hosting a BBQ event at the Grand Portage Trading Post on Wednesday and
Thursday, June 20 and 21. There will be Bingo on Thursday, June 21, at 6 p.m. at the Grand Portage Lodge Event Center. For more information, contact Agatha at the Grand Portage Tribal Council office at 218-475-2800.

Veterans Home Social Benifit

The Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay is hosting a Social Benefit for all Cook and Lake county veterans, Thursday, June 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will be live music, ice cream and an opportunity to meet the wonderful veteran residents at the veterans home, as well as members from the VFW and other officials. Wooden Boat Show
