Cook County Senior Center Lunch Monday, September 26th

The Cook County Senior Center in Grand Marais serves lunch every weekday at noon. Today's meal is chili, cornbread, salad, milk, and dessert. Reservations must be made by 9:30 this morning at 387-2660.

 

Monday, September 26th AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Meetings

There are regular meetings of AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA in Cook County.
On Mondays in Grand Marais at the First Congregational Church, there is a CoDependents Anonymous meeting at 5:30 pm, and an Al-Anon meeting at 7 pm; and there's an AA Open Meeting at the Senior Center at 7 pm.

Autumn Story Time

The Grand Marais Public Library is holding Autumn Story Time for pre-school age kids Tuesday mornings, September 27th through November 22, from 10:30 to 11:15.  Storytime will be presented by college student Elizabeth Belz, and librarian Patsy Ingebrigtsen, and will be followed by an activity, inside or outside depending on the weather. Flu Shots Available

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic will be offering Flu Shot Clinics this fall. Clinics in Grand Marais will be held in the Clinic lower level classroom Tuesday, September 27th, 11:30 to 1 pm; Wednesday, September 28th, 4:30 to 6 pm; Tuesday, October 4th, 11:30 to 1 pm; and Thursday, October 6th, 4:30 to 6 pm.

West End clinics will be Thursday, September 29th, 9:45 to 10:45 am at the Lutsen Realty/Cascade Vacation Rentals building; and 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the Birch Grove Community Center.

Volunteer Training

Care Partners of Cook County is holding Volunteer Training from 4:30 to 8 pm on Tuesdays, September 27th, October 4th, and October 11th. Volunteers will provide companionship to those on the journey of aging or serious illness. More information and registration are available  at 387-3788.  
 
 

Fall Theatrical Production Meeting

Hike the Oberg Mountain Trail

The Happy Hikers will hike the Oberg Mountain Trail, Wednesday, September 28th, for their last hike of the season.  You are invited to bring a sack lunch to enjoy at the top of the mountain.  Carpooling is at available at the Performing Arts Center parking lot at 9:30 am. Oktoberfest in Grand Marais
