Call 387-2774 to schedule an appointment for children ages 18 months to 26 years old. Services include an exam, cleaning, x-rays, fluoride, or sealants. Medicare Changes for 2016 will be presented by Marjori Bottila of the Senior Link Age Line Friday, May 20th, from 9 to 11 am. Individual counseling appointments are available Thursday, May 19 from 11 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday, the 20th, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. 

GES Greenhouse Plant Sale & Pancake Breakfast

Great Expectations School will host their annual Greenhouse Plant Sale and Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 21, from 8 am to 1 pm. A wide variety of hardy perennials, flowering annuals, garden-ready veggies and fragrant herbs will be available.  The pancake breakfast also begins at 8 am, and lasts until the pancakes run out.  More information is available from the school, by phone at 218-387-9322.

Botany Workshops

The Isle Royale (ROY-al) and Keweenaw (KEE-wen-ah) Parks Association is sponsoring two botany workshops, June 6th-11th and September 6th-11th in Isle Royale National Park with instructor Janet Marr. The workshops are open to anyone with beginning or intermediate knowledge of plant identification, and are limited to 12 participants per workshop. The June workshop will be in the Rock Harbor area, and the September workshop will be in the Windigo area of the island. August Kids Camp

North House Folk School

North House Folk School offers Kids Camp August 1-4, from 9 to 4 pm each day. Camp is a variety of hands-on 
crafting activities such as blacksmithing, hide tanning, felt making, and more, for kids ages 8 to 12. 
Space is limited to 10 participants.
