Artist Talks: Color and form

Cook County Market

The Cook County Market opens every Saturday through mid-October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weather permitting, in the Senior Center Parking lot. Story Hour with the Muffin Man

Lighthouse Point Guided Tour

Cook County Historical Society has guided tours of lighthouse point every Saturday throughout the summer beginning at 1 p.m. The tour begins at the museum and will walk out to the lighthouse breakwater with a museum tour guide. The guide will point out the visible relics of the past and tell the stories of this small harbor and community. The tour will last approximately one hour and are weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult. More information at ​218-387-2883.

Writer's Salon with Margot Galt

Geology Walk

Chik-Wauk Open House

The Gunflint Trail Historical Society is celebrating the eighth anniversary of the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center,  Sunday, July 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  There will an open house showing two new structures that have been added to the Chik-Wauk property, a timber framed structure that will become Chik-Wauk's Watercraft Exhibit Building and an Interpretive Cabin Exhibit Building. Cook County School District Summer Meals

Cook County School District will be serving summer food for children 18 and under. Breakfast will be served Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 9:15 am and Lunches will also be Monday through Thursday from 11:15 to 12:15 at the school cafeteria.

Care Partners Senior Rides Program

Senior Rides Program needs volunteer drivers to provide rides for those 60 and older to out-of-county medical, dental, and eye appointments and to fill transportation needs not met by Arrowhead Transit or friends and relatives. Senior Rides also offers transportation within Cook County for medical appointments, as well as wellness and social activities. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage and can choose their assignments.
