Application deadline for Artists-in-Residence program

The Grand Marais Art Colony has applications available for its Artists-in-Residence program, March 6th through the 19th, 2017. Juried residents are provided with two weeks of independent studio access, lodging, and a weekly stipend.The application deadline is Friday, December 9th. Ruby's Pantry December 13th

Ruby’s Pantry is holding a food distribution Tuesday, December 13th, from 5 to 6:30 pm, at the Cook County High School cafeteria. Participants must bring coolers and grocery-sized containers to receive food. All are welcome. Volunteers are needed from 3:30 pm until distribution ends at 6:30 pm.

Operation Family Christmas

Operation Family Christmas is an opportunity to give a child a Christmas present. There are Christmas trees located at businesses throughout the county, with tags that give information about a child's wish list. Donors choose tags, then return the unwrapped gifts to the tree with tags attached by Friday, December 16th. More information is available from Jes at 387-2660.
