Cook County AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA Weekend Meetings, April 21st and 22nd

There are regular meetings of AA, Al-Anon, and CoDA in Cook County and a complete schedule of meetings is on our website under the Ongoing Events menu.

This weekend on Saturday, there's an AA Open Meeting at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hovland;

and on Sunday, there's an AA Big Book Study Group at 6:30 p.m. at the Lutsen Town Hall.

Grand Marais Playhouse summer farce interest meeting

W.E. Connect Listening Sessions

The West End nonprofit, W.E. Connect is undergoing a restructuring process, trying to find the best way that it can meet the needs of community members in Lutsen, Tofte, and Schroeder. To that end, the organization is holding a series of “Listening Sessions.”
These sessions will be held on:
Wednesday, April 25 from 7-8 pm at the Schroeder Town Hall
Saturday, April 28 from 1-2 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall
And Thursday, May 3 from 7-8 pm at the Tofte Town Hall.

Tofte Senior lunch April 25th

"Shrek the Musical" Audtions

Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Cook County Sheriff's Office, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will be hosting an unwanted prescription drug round-up, Saturday, April 28, at two locations in the County, the Grand Portage Clinic (62 Upper Rd.) and the Cook County Law Enforcement Center (143 Gunflint Trail).  Bring unwanted medications for disposal to either of those locations on April 28 from 10 am to 2 pm.  The service is free and anonymous, and only pills or patches will be accepted.

AEOA job-search assistance for senior adults

Arrowhead Economic Opporturnity Agency (AEOA) is offering a program that provides low-income senior adults job-search assistance and temporary employment. This federal program helps Cook County residents, aged 55 and over, rejoin the workforce by working in their community while receiving on-the-job training.
