Cook County Market

Lighthouse Point Guided Tour

Cook County Historical Society offers Harbor History tours every Saturday throughout the summer beginning at 1 p.m. The tour begins at the museum and features visible relics of the past and stories of this small harbor and community. The tour will last approximately one hour and is weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult. More information at  218-387-2883.

Sunset Sundays Gondola Rides at Lutsen Mountains

Geology Walk

Care Partners Ice Cream Social

The 3rd annual Care Partners Ice Cream Social will be held on Sunday, August 26th, from 2-5 pm at Sydney’s Custard in Grand Marais! All proceeds go to support Care Partners services to provide support and companionship for those on the journey of aging and serious illness.

AEOA Rural Rides

Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) sponsors Rural Rides, a program for those experiencing transportation difficulties. Community Yoga

AARP Driver Safety Class

Minnesota drivers aged 55+ receive a 10% auto insurance discount by taking an approved eight-hour driver safety/accident reduction class. Drivers maintain the discount by taking a four-hour refresher class every three years.  AARP is offering a class that can count as an initial four hours, or a four-hour refresher on Tuesday, August 28 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center.  More information from Pam at 663-7068 or by email at  pamm@boreal.org.
