Winter weather swept across much of Minnesota from April 13-16. Schools across the state were delayed or canceled on Monday, including a two-hour delay for schools in Cook County.

In addition, many roadways were covered in snow or ice following storms that ranged from Minneapolis to Grand Marais. Travel conditions were difficult for many motorists due to the conditions.

And perhaps the epicenter of the travel woes was the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Flights were delayed or canceled by the dozens at the busy airport, leaving some stranded and frustrating people across the country.

Among the weary travelers at the airport was Cook County resident and WTIP staffer Rhonda Silence. WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Rhonda about her travel woes.
