Cook County Community Education hosts a variety of classes and events for youth and adults.
"Core and Strength" classes, with instructor Chris Angelo, will be offered on Mondays, December 9, 16, 23 and 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, in the CCHS Cafeteria.
"Why Weight" is a 12-week weight loss program, incorporating aspects of a book club, support group, self-hypnosis workshop, and pot luck. Classes will meet on Tuesdays from January 14 through April 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, in the ACA Conference Room, with instructor Hartley Newell-Acero.
A Private Pilot Ground School Course, with instructor Mike Raymond, will be offered on 13 Wednesdays, January 15 through April 9, from 6 to 8 pm, at the ACA Conference Room. The class will prepare students for the FAA knowledge test, and meets both private pilot and sport pilot license requirements.
