Cook County is in the process of drafting a new septic treatment ordinance.  The state of Minnesota is requiring counties to adopt ordinances based on new rules issued by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The county says the intention of the new ordinance is to, “serve the best interests of the County’s citizens by protecting its health, safety, general welfare, and natural resources.” The next public hearing on the septic ordinance will most likely be held in January. Let WTIP know what you think of the proposed ordinance.
