Leslie Quick Pedersen & Dan Quick stopped by The Roadhouse July 18 to talk with Buck about their dad, Birney Quick, an artist and instructor who founded the Grand Marais Art Colony, Minnesota's longest-lived art colony. They share delightful stories about the early days of the art colony, their dad's special way with people and, of course, the famous fish fries. An exhibit of Birney Quick's work, some of which has not been seen by the public before, opens with a reception  Friday, July 25 at 5 p.m. at the Johnson Heritage Post Gallery in Grand Marais.
