Marnie has volunteered with WTIP since 2007 as co-host of the AM Community Calendar with Veronica Weadock on Thursdays.  When asked to share a favorite, she says her favorite female vocalist is Eva Cassidy.  You may be surprised to learn that in 1964, Marnie and her husband Ken were ready to join the Peace Corps and serve in South America, when a kidney stone in Ken's medical history cancelled their plans.  She still wonders what different path they may have followed.  A favorite quote of hers is:  "To feel the love of people whom we love is a fire that feeds our life." -- Pablo Neruda.  Marnie believes "WTIP is a great resource for our community with programming that is relevant to our interests and lifestyles; and an absolute necessity in emergency situations like the Ham Lake fire."
