Maxene has volunteered with WTIP since 2006, hosting various programs like Women In Music, Radio Free Hovland's version of Thirsty Boots, and occassionally Small Change.  She enjoys spending time planning and carrying out creative projects and hanging out with creative people.  You might be surprised to learn that long ago, Maxene lived on a small farm and raised quarter horses and paints.  A favorite quote of hers:  "The harder you work, the luckier you get."  Maxene says, "WTIP is simply wonderful! Where else can you listen to people you know play every genre of music, find out about the news and what's going on in the community, play along with a call-in trivia show, NOT have to listen to commercials, AND even have the opportunity to be on-the-air yourself??? What a deal!"
