Ann Possis spoke Mar. 15 with Dr. Mark Pereira, professor of epidemiology & community health at the U of MN School of Public Health, about a study published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine showing that a Mediterranean-style diet is very beneficial to one's health. So beneficial, in fact, that the study was ended early because the control group not eating this way was missing out on its good effects.
