Mike has volunteered on-air with WTIP since 1998, but his involvement goes back to before the humble station was even born.  On occassion you can hear him hosting Wednesday Night Jazz.  Mike's excitement about jazz began with his discovery of musician Pat Metheny and some of his early work in the late 70's with the Pat Metheny Group.  When asked to share something interesting about himself, he says "I always wanted to play the electric bass, but never gave it a real try.  Despite many years of piano lessons, I really can't play a lick.  Not even 'chop sticks'."  A favorite quote:  "A man's got to know his own limitations." -- Harry Callahan.  Finally, Mike shares this "I'm proud to have been involved with WTIP from its earliest days, and very happy for its growth and strong community support.  It's truly a unique community asset."
