Youth Radio Training and Kickoff: October 7th at 4 pm

WTIP will be kicking off the Fall 2014 season of Youth Radio with a training session on Tuesday, October 7, starting at 4 p.m.  WTIP invites all students in 8th through 12th grades to take part in its Youth Radio Project.

About WTIP's Youth Radio Project:

Through the Youth Radio Project, you’ll learn all aspects of radio work: from recording an interview to audio engineering to hosting a music show.
 
Students work behind the scenes or on-air:
• Writing
• Producing audio features and commentaries
• Engineering programs
• Hosting music and news programs
• Doing interviews
• Creating videos
• Managing the WTIP youth website & social media
• And more!
 
All students who complete the project will receive a letter of recommendation for their college applications, a chance at a small scholarship, as well as an opportunity for a paid summer internship at WTIP.
