CCHS football and volleyball to begin next week

The Minnesota State High School League this week approved fall seasons for football and volleyball after having decided previously to postpone the sports to next spring.

A football season of six games was approved, with practice starting Monday. The first game is set for Friday, Oct. 9.

The volleyball season that was approved also begins with practices on Monday. A 14 match season will start with a game on Thursday, Oct. 8.

No fans will be allowed to attend volleyball games and a limited number of fans (250) will be allowed to attend football games.

WTIP’s Sterling Anderson spoke with ISD 166 Activities Director Mitch Dorr on Sep. 23 to learn more about the return of high school football and volleyball this fall in Cook County.
