Revisit performances from First Stirrings of Spring membership drive
WTIP’s First Stirrings of Spring Membership Drive concluded earlier this week as a massive success thanks to all our generous listener-members and volunteers. During that time WTIP aired several different programs celebrating the spring holidays of Holi and the Persian New Year with musical guests sharing their talents and favorite songs for the season. You can find them archived below. They are:
- Dan Rein of Minneapolis playing traditional Iranian instruments
- Matthew Rahaim of the University of Minnesota sharing songs of Holi
- Aida Shaghasemi, Persian contemporary singer based in Minneapolis, performing with Nima Hafezieh
- Dr. Pooja Gaswami Pavan, Hindustani singer and composer, with Allalaghatta Pavan on tabla
