North House Folk School hosts its inaugural Hide Week Gathering Day on Friday, October 6 with craft demos, mini-courses, and a speaker series. The featured guest speaker is Jean Marshall, presenting Moose Hide Revolution: Hide Tanning Revitalization. In this talk, Jean will share her efforts to revitalize this craft practice in northwestern Ontario. She’ll discuss how community and identity are part of her work and what she finds most exciting.
