Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center hosts a presentation on the future of the boreal forest on Sunday, June 23 from 2 to 3 pm. Lee E. Freilich, the director of the University of Minnesota Center for Forest Ecology, will lead the presentation. Lee will discuss the potential for increased fire frequency with climate change and what this year’s huge burns in Canada mean for the boreal forest.
