Ezme Attends Cook County Youth Media Camp
Story By WTIP youth volunteer Ezme Mundell
Last week I went to the Cook County Youth Media camp at North Point. Jaye White was our teacher. On the first day, you learn to change the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. After you learn the basic settings, you can go outside and take some pictures. We took photos of flowers, dogs, Lake Superior, and fun action shots of each other in downtown Grand Marais.
During the media camp, we also learned videography skills and how to make a stop-motion video. Then comes the really fun part, you write a script and make a mini-movie! You choose a theme, actors, and camera operator. My favorite part was definitely the acting. At the end, we had an ice cream party and played some ping-pong. Another part I really enjoyed was that my friend from the camp last year came again as we planned, we had a lot of fun together.
