North House Youth Sailing Crew’s Last Trip of the Season

Several youths took part in the North House Folk School’s Youth Sailing Program this summer. They learned about sailing while working as crew members on the schooner Hjordis.

Family members were invited to join the youth sailing crew and Captain Matthew Eklund aboard the schooner Hjordis on the student’s last sailing day on August 22. It was an amazingly warm day to be on the water.

In this video, Captain Matthew Ekland led the crew in a sea shanty.
