WTIP Oldlimpicks – 2006

“On your marks. . . get set . . . GO!” WTIP volunteers and luge duos, Bob Carter & Doug Seim and Dick Dorr & Norman Moe laid down the gauntlet in the first (and only) “Oldlimpicks” luge competition at the Sweetheart’s Bluff sledding hill on March, 19, 2006. The competition was simulcast live on WTIP and features an up close look at Doug Seim’s “Norwegian spandex,” live coverage of the races and interviews with Deb White, Dehlia Seim, Debbie Benedict and all of the racers. With commentary by Buck Benson, Scott Beattie and Cathy Quinn and filmed by the late Holly Nelson of PAC-13, the one-time cable channel in Grand Marais, Minn.
