What’s your favorite sign of spring?

The Spring Equinox is happening on Sunday, March 20. It doesn’t always mean the arrival of spring here in Northeastern Minnesota—we may have wintery weather until April…or even May.

But since WTIP is celebrating the Spring Equinox during our “First Stirrings of Spring” membership drive, WTIP’s Rhonda Silencer thought it would be fun to ask community members, “What’s your favorite sign of spring?”

We heard some interesting answers, everything from days of longer light to the sounds of drumming grouse and motorcycles on the highway; from the budding of the trees to marsh marigolds and more.
