Buck Benson & Dave Seaton welcomed Duluth musicians Jason Wussow (guitar) and Tyler Dubla (drums) for conversation and music on The Roadhouse March 22. The Jason Wussow Band was here to play several gigs around town over the weekend.

Inuit throat singers Lydia Etok & Nina Segalowitz perform on The Roadhouse

Cathy Quinn welcomed Inuit throat singers Nina Segalowitz & Lydia Etok to Studio A Mar. 15 for conversation, laughter, and demos of the traditional Inuit women's art of throat singing. Nina & Lydia were in Grand Marais for Sivertson Gallery's annual Inuit Premiere Weekend. Take a listen--you don't hear this amazing & unusual art form every day.

Filmmaker Emily Haddad joined Ann Possis recently to talk about her latest documentary, "Girl from Birch Creek," the inspiring story of Rosalie Wahl, the first woman to be appointed to the MN Supreme Court. Emily talks about why she came to filmmaking, how she chose to tell Rosalie's story, and why it's important.

Buck Benson & Ann Possis welcomed Duluth musicians Mary Bue (keyboard) and Kyle Maclean (guitar) to Studio A Mar. 8. They played and sang their original music, before appearing later that evening at Cascade Lodge & Pub.

Buck & Ann welcomed local favorite Gordon Thorne to Studio A March 1 for conversation, laughter and, of course, incredible blues guitar. Gordon's third annual fingerstyle guitar weekend happens this year April 12 & 13--might want to mark your calendar.

Duluth filmmaker Mike Scholtz on his award-winning doc, "Wild Bill's Run"

Buck chatted recently with Mike Scholtz about his award-winning documentary, "Wild Bill's Run." Described as 'part Arctic adventure, part crime caper,' it's the strange but true story of Wild Bill Cooper, his attempt to snowmobile to Moscow during the Cold War, and what happened in the aftermath. The film will be shown again in March or April at North House Folk School in Grand Marais.
