AICHO to present concert fundraiser for Dabinoo’Igan shelter
American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) will present a concert fundraiser, “One Community, Many Voices, Stop the Silence”, for the Dabinoo’Igan Domestic Violence Shelter on April 6, 2023 at the Norshor Theater.
The concert will feature artists Annie Humphrey, Keith Secola and Erik Koskinen. All monies raised will go toward the Dabinoo’Igan Shelter expansion.
Dabinoo’Igan is an emergency shelter for victims of physical and sexual violence, trafficking, and stalking who need immediate shelter. Women and children are able to stay at the shelter and receive a variety of supportive services.
Deanna Reder spoke with WTIP’s CJ Heithoff and explained that in 2021 the shelter was forced to turn away more than 200 people due to lack of space.
