WTIP featured a special Tuesday Classics program on August 22 with a recording of the Gunflint Woods, Winds, Strings, and a Little Jazz Concert. The concert was recorded on August 13, 2017, at the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department Hall #1 by WTIP and featured a variety of musical genres and many local musicians.

The entire Gunflint Woods, Winds and Strings Concert was recorded by WTIP on August 14, 2016. The concert was held at the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department Hall #1, and was a benefit for the Gunflint Trail Historical Society and the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department.
The concert featured local and regional performers, in addition to the debut of an original composition by William Beckstrand:
