Twin Cities’ Gay Men’s Chorus Borealis Choir to perform in Grand Marais

Twin Cities’ Gay Men’s Chorus has been a long-running choral institution in the Minneapolis-St. Paul community for over 45 years. Their chamber choir called Borealis will be performing at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Grand Marais on Saturday, October 11th at 7pm. The Chorus’s artistic director Gerald Gerss joins Will Moore by phone to talk about his involvement with the organization, the history of gay men’s choruses as a response to the AIDS crisis in the 1980s and their evolution in the years since, and what sort of music to expect from the show this weekend.
