Crews on scene at garage/garden shed fire on County Road 14

**Update**
All emergency responders are now clear of the scene. The shed and its contents were completely destroyed. The fire burned the door of the nearby wood boiler and scorched part of a gutter on the house.

An emergency page went out just after 1 p.m. for a structure fire at 1361 County Road 14. Fire departments from Colvill, Hovland and Maple Hill were paged, along with the North Shore Health ambulance.

The first emergency responders on scene confirmed the bad news–a garage/garden shed and a car were in flames. Crews continue to battle the blaze as of 2 p.m.

The public is asked to avoid County Road 14 at this time to give emergency vehicles room to fight the fire.
