4th of July events
There are several 4th of July events and celebrations happening throughout the county:
The 43rd Annual Tofte Trek starts at Birch Grove Community Center in Tofte. Same-day registration begins at 7:45 am with races starting at 9 am. More information is available at sugarbushtrail.org. Other events in Tofte include a parade. The line-up is at the Tofte Ranger Station at 12:30 pm and will start rolling down the Tofte Park Road at 1 pm. Directly following the parade will be the Citizen of the Year Award presentation. There will also be a dinner at Zoar Lutheran Church at 5 pm.
There will be fireworks displays over Lake Superior at dusk in Tofte, Grand Marais, and Grand Portage.
