On April 16, the Cook County Public Health and Human Services voted unanimously to join the Age-Friendly Communities Network, a nationwide initiative committed to making communities more inclusive of and responsive to older adults. A celebration for the Age-Friendly Community Initiative will be held on Tuesday, June 25 from 10 to 11:30 am at Grand Marais Art Colony Studio 21. AARP and the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging will formally welcome Cook County into the Age-Friendly Network. More information is available at carepartnersofcookcounty.org.
