Take a kid fishing
Cook County SWCD is sponsoring Take a Kid Fishing Day on Saturday, July 19, from 9 am to noon at Elbow Lake (9.5 miles north on the Gunflint Trail, turn left on Elbow Lake Landing Road). Lunch and bait will be provided, and DNR fisheries staff will provide boat rides, shore and dock fishing, minnow traps, and more. A limited amount of fishing poles and lifejackets will be available.
