Local emergency workers respond to tragic fatality in Lutsen
At approximately 8:30 am, on Saturday, April 11, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Lutsen First Responders, North Shore Health Ambulance and a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources conservation officer responded to 5339 West Hwy 61 for a report of a non-responsive 17-year-old male for suspected suicide.
CPR was attempted, but the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. Initial investigation indicates suicide, but results from the Medical Examiner will confirm exact cause of death.
The individual was staying at the home of a friend. He was found non-responsive in the morning. Cook County Search & Rescue assisted with transport to hospital.
