Power outage Monday morning on Cook County’s east end

After reports of a power outage on the east end of Cook County due to a downed tree, power has been restored, officials from Arrowhead Electric confirmed with WTIP.
At approximately, 9 a.m. on Monday morning, a power outage impacted properties from Colvill to Grand Portage. Crews from Arrowhead Electric dispatched to the location of a downed tree and worked to restore power. Power was restored at approximately 11: 30 a.m.
Wind gusts may reach as high as 45 mph today near Grand Marais, according to the National Weather Service. If you plan to travel Monday, be aware of possible downed trees and other windblown objects in the roadways.
