Vikings on a tear ahead of back-to-back home games
The Cook County Vikings boys basketball team has been on fire over the last month, winning eight out of their last nine games. That includes a home victory earlier this week over the North Woods Grizzlies, 73-52. The Vikings have surged up to sixth in the section standings with a 12-5 record.
Next up are two home games in a row. Tonight, the Vikings are hosting the Hill City/Northland Storm, varsity will tip off at 6:30 pm. A big conference game follows that on Friday against the Cromwell-Wright Cardinals. WTIP will be broadcasting Friday’s game from Pam Taylor Gymnasium.
WTIP volunteer Michael McHugh spoke with Vikings coach Keaton Riley ahead of tonight’s game.
