Cook County Earth Day Fair receives strong community support and attendance

The 3rd annual Cook County Earth Day Fair was held on Saturday April 20 at Cook County High School, and featured a variety of speakers and non-profit organizations educating folks on all the myriad ways we can live more sustainably and equitably.

The event was sponsored by Cook County Local Energy Project with support from Cook County Higher Education, Cook County Whole Foods Coop, Visit Cook County, Arrowhead Electric Cooperative, First Congregational United Church of Christ, Java Moose, local vendors and volunteers.

The video of speaker presentations is expected to be available on the Cook County Earth Day Fair website by the end of April.

WTIP’s Chuck Olsen had a chance to speak with several vendors and speakers at the fair, including Chel Anderson, a board member of Cook County Local Energy Project, Pat Collins, Conservation Program Manager at Minnesota Land Trust, and North Shore Master Naturalists Sue Fuad and Betsy Bloom.
