Betsy Bowen Artist Proof sealed bid auction
Before WTIP aired our inaugural broadcast in April 1998, a special limited-edition woodblock print by Betsy Bowen helped make it possible. Just 15 woodblock prints were sold for $1,000 each, raising the funds needed to help launch the station.
Now, nearly 30 years later, Betsy has made an extraordinary gift: her Artist Proof – the only one of its kind – has been generously donated to the station to support our mission.
Beginning today, July 2, you have the opportunity to own this unique piece of our history through a Sealed Bid Auction.

Member Coffee & Donuts at the station
Thursday, July 9 | 8 – 10 AM
Members are invited to the station on July 9 from 8 to 10 AM for Fika coffee & World’s Best Donuts. Who is a member? A member is someone who has made a donation to WTIP within the last 12 months. Become a member or renew your membership today!
Member Lunch at the station
Friday, July 10 | NOON – 2 PM
Members are invited to the station on Friday, July 10 from noon to 2 PM for lunch and live music. Lunch is served at noon and local band The Splints! are playing from 1 to 2 PM. Sponsored by North Shore Federal Credit Union, Johnson’s Foods, and Arrowhead Cooperative. Ice cream by Superior Creamery.
