ReNewell Resources Health and Wellness Coaching opens in Grand Marais

In Grand Marais, a recently established health and wellness coaching business is now welcoming clients, catering to individuals aspiring to lead healthier, happier lives.

ReNewell Resources Health and Wellness Coaching aims to help individuals with nutrition, stress management, wellness, overall health, and personal growth.

“Health and wellness coaching is a way for people to get from point A to point B,” Hartley Newell-Acero, the owner of ReNewell Resources Health and Wellness Coaching, said. “Coaching helps someone really hone in on what matters to them, what they want. What they need.”

Newell-Acero embarked on her professional journey in health and wellness education during her undergraduate studies in psychology. Subsequently, she pursued a master’s degree in behavioral science/ fitness & human performance. She holds certifications as a Mayo Clinic-certified wellness coach and a National Board-certified health & wellness coach. She had the outreach coordinator position at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic for many years.

Newell-Acero said she is enthusiastic to re-engage in purposeful work and positively impact individuals’ lives by contributing to their well-being and growth. For potentially interested clients, she offers a no-cost thirty-minute introductory session to explore areas of growth or identify health and wellness goals.

Rather than maintain a physical office space to meet with clients, Newell-Acero offers the option to meet virtually or in person for a walk or cup of coffee. ReNewell Resources Health and Wellness Coaching provides individual coaching sessions and coaching packages with three or six sessions.

“Coaching is not a one and done, or even a two and done,” she said. “It takes time to get to know one another and to plan and experiment and see what’s working, what’s not working.”

Newell-Acero recently partnered with Cook County Higher Education to offer a Well Rested: A 6-Week Journey To Finding Your Restorative Balance class on Wednesdays starting Oct. 18 through Nov. 29 (skipping Nov. 22).

The class is held in-person from 5:30-7 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 25 and 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Nov. 1,8,15, and 29.

The six-session group class explores learning to distinguish different types of fatigue and rest, examining boundaries around the places or locations that contribute to personal rest deficits, and options to develop a plan to achieve more rest.

“This is a group where there’s some learning happening,” Newell-Acero said. “And then there’s time for practice and support.”
