Planned power outage for east side of Grand Marais Sunday
Some Grand Marais Public Utilities Commission (PUC) customers will be without electricity for a couple of hours on Sunday, August 23. The PUC will be working on the east side of the electrical district from 6 – 8 a.m.
Grand Marais Public Utilities staff will be replacing fuse cut-outs that are nearing their end of service life. The work will prevent future unplanned outages.
According to City Communications Director Patrick Knight, the affected customers include properties:
On the Southside of Highway 61 between 1010 MN-61 and 1900 MN-61
On the Northside of Highway 61 between 1413 MN-61 and 1903 MN-61
