One Spirit Employment worker recruitment program launched

For decades, North Shore businesses have faced challenges finding enough workers to fill jobs. Sarah Hamilton of Trail Center is one of those business owners. Sarah is also aware of the unemployment situation on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. She has successfully recruited some young people from Pine Ridge to work for her.

Pleased with how it has worked for her–and her young workers–Hamilton thought this could also benefit other North Shore businesses. And other young people in Pine Ridge.

With the support of the Cook County/Grand Marais Economic Development Authority and the Cook County Chamber, Hamilton has launched a website to help others in Pine Ridge find employment here on the North Shore. Visit the website One Spirit Employment to learn more.
