Letteracy Deck hopes to mail 8000 postcards by Oct 20
Anne Brataas stopped by WTIP on her way to the Grand Marais Post Office to update us on the Letteracy Deck a program that encourages visitors and locals alike to take a moment – pause and write a line or two on a postcard that will be mailed to a loved one.
This literacy-promoting project engages local youth ages 5-15.
The postcards and postage are provided by the Letteracy Deck. So far, more than 15,000 postcards have been mailed since the project’s beginning in 2023.
