Sarah Elstran of The Nunnery talks new album, big shows
The Nunnery is the musical moniker of Sarah Elstran of Eau Claire, WI who makes hauntingly beautiful music looping her own voice into choruses and soundscapes. Her new album is called Ascending, and she joins Will Moore on The Scenic Route to talk about it, along with how The Nunnery’s sound was created under duress and video projects being created along with the music.
The Nunnery will perform this Friday Nov. 14 at First Avenue in Minneapolis opening for the acclaimed band Khruangbin, and at Cloudland in Minneapolis on Sunday Nov. 16.
