Militici returns to North Shore with Silver Bay show
Militici is the latest musical group of Grand Rapids jazz guitarist Sam Miltich. Known for his swing jazz style in the vein of Django Reinhardt, this new band features new, improvised versions of music that originates from regions in Eastern Europe from where Sam draws his heritage. He calls the new show “New Music from the Old Country”, and they will be performing in Silver Bay at Reunion Hall on Saturday, December 27th. The show is open to the public.
Sam talks with Will Moore detailing a recent trip to Croatia that was an eye-opening experience of learning about his own family and different styles of music, how the history of that region shows up in its various music styles, and tells us what to expect from the show on Saturday.
