West End Townships prepare for elections and annual meetings

On Tuesday, March 10, the townships of Lutsen, Tofte, and Schroeder will hold elections prior to their annual meetings.

Several supervisor and treasurer positions are up for election in 2026 within each township.

In-person voting will be open from 5 to 8 p.m., with township annual meetings beginning immediately afterwards.

Lutsen Township

Lutsen Township has two positions up for election.

Stacey Scheilblauer and Katie Oakes are running for the 3-year supervisor term. Incumbent Lollie Cooper is not running for reelection.

Julie Buskovick is running for the 2-year term as treasurer. Incumbent Ashley VanDoren is not running for reelection.

The election and annual meeting will be held at the Lutsen Town Hall, located at 116 Caribou Trail. Signs will be posted near the town hall to direct township residents. Visit the Lutsen Township website to learn more here.

Tofte Township

Incumbent Craig Horak is running for the 3-year supervisor term.

Schroeder Township

Horace Lamb, more commonly known as ‘Skip’ Lamb, is running for the 3-year supervisor term. Incumbent Catherine Johnson is not running for reelection.
