Officials share latest on Little Knife Fire at second Gunflint Trail public meeting
The U.S. Forest Service, in collaboration with the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department and county officials, held a second informational meeting about the Little Knife Fire on Monday, July 20, at 3 p.m.
Officials provided the latest updates on the Little Knife Fire and described ongoing operations, current weather, and more.
The National Incident Management Organization (NIMO) assumed control of the Little Knife Fire at 6 a.m. on Sunday. Several NIMO officials spoke during the meeting after conducting several helicopter flights over the Little Knife Fire on Sunday and Monday.
