A Superior Storage opens in the Cedar Grove Business Park
A new heated storage facility in Grand Marais has opened.
A Superior Storage offers ten individual private units and a 10,000 sq. ft open space available to rent by the sq. foot.
The individual units are 20 feet x 50 feet and equipped with a 14-foot overhead door and a 12-foot wide service door. The new heated storage facility in the Cedar Grove Business Park has been in the works for numerous years.
“It has been a long time coming,” owner Forrest Parson said. “A couple years we’ve been working on this project.”
Parson, who also owns Hungry Jack Lodge up the Gunflint Trail, said his motivation to venture into the storage facility business was to expand his horizons and meet a need in Grand Marais.
“The storage business industry seems like a growing demand no matter where you’re at,” Parson said. He said while there are a couple of storage facility businesses in Grand Marais and Cook County, he wanted to offer something different to the area. The large storage units and heated capability set him apart from other options in town.
Since launching his new business, Parson said he has already accepted applications and signed several contracts. “We’ve already got some people on board.”
