Charlie Parr previews upcoming album “Rooming House” ahead of Grand Marais show
As a teenager, Duluth-based guitarist Charlie Parr left his home of Austin, MN to be part of the music scene West Bank neighborhood of Minneapolis, living in a rooming house full of memorable characters. That experience, along with many of others of meeting and living with various people, have inspired his latest album Rooming House, a set of songs he calls an “audio play” telling the story of different characters living together planning a heist to get proper health care. He joins Will Moore on The Scenic Route to talk about the upcoming album, his recent tour in Europe, and more.
Rooming House is available October 15th.
