Kenny Bressler creates a wetland soundscape on “The Ephemeral Pool”

Kenny Bressler is a Duluth-based musician whose experimental compositions contain all sorts of aural experiences. From field recordings of frogs, birds, and rainfall to warm analog synths and recordings of long lost cassette tapes, they all become part of a musical mosaic on his latest album The Ephemeral Pool. Bressler talks with Will Moore about how he constructed the new album, using music as a way to take time off social media, and how his partner Tanya Feldkamp creates video art to go along with his music.

A release show for the album will be held at Prøve Art Gallery in Duluth on May 9th.
