Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners

The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is available on Tuesdays at the Cook County Community Center from 9 am to 3 pm.  This program offers tax help to seniors and people of low to moderate income. No appointment is needed.  First come, first served.

Tofte, Lutsen, Schroeder Community Blood Drive

A Tofte, Lutsen, Schroeder Community Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 11 from noon to 6 pm at Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte. Donation is by appointment. Appointments can be made on the Memorial Blood Center site or by contacting Jane Johnson at (218) 663-7254 or dippersc99@gmail.com.

Lutsen Yoga

Lutsen Yoga takes place on Tuesdays from 6 to 6:45 at the Town Hall.  All ages and abilities are welcome. 10 mats are available for use on a first come first served basis.

There is no class on the third Tuesday of the month due to the township meetings.

Starting a Small Business: Community & Practical Tips

Cook County Higher Education is hosting Starting a Small Business: Community & Practical Tips on Tuesday, March 11 from 6 to 8:30 pm at CCHE and Zoom. Bone Builders

Bone Builders is a group exercise weight training program that was created for adults who are interested in preventing and reducing osteoporosis. Bone Builders meets at the Lutsen Town Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am.

BLS CPR Certification American Heart Association

Cook County Higher Education is providing BLS CPR Certification American Heart Association on Wednesday, March 12 from 9 am to noon. American Heart Association BLS CPR is for those that are nurses, dentists, hygienists, nursing students, dental students, pharmacists, emergency medical technicians, physicians, professional rescuers, respiratory therapists, or anyone in the health-care industry. Cook County West End Alanon

The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall.  Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics.  The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.

NA (Narcotics Anonymous) Meeting

Narcotics Anonymous meetings are Wednesday evenings at 7 pm at The Hub in Grand Marais. All who have an interest are welcome to come.

Northern Lotus Meditation

Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Bird Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
