More Events: Visit Cook County
A North Shore Farmers Meet Up will take place on Friday, March 14 from 9:30 am to 4 pm at the Cook County Community Center. The event is for local operators of small farm/agricultural businesses to gather and learn from each other. Farms at any stage of development are welcome.
There will be brief updates from Extension and local organizations on resources available to farmers. There is also the opportunity to provide input on the Northwoods Food Project creating a shared equipment library for local food processing equipment.

Films on Fridays takes place at the Cook County Community Center on Friday, March 14 at 6 pm. Films are from the public domain, mostly black and white – noir – murder/mystery/comedy/western. All are welcome.
Drury Lane Books hosts Full Moon Poetry on Friday, March 14 from 6 to 8 pm. This is an open community bonfire where all are encouraged to share a favorite piece of prose or literature. Meet just behind the shop on the beach side. More information is available at drurylanebooks.com.
Dappled Fern Fibers hosts a Saturday Fiber Circle from 10 to 11:30 am. Knitting, crocheting, spinning darning, embroidery, cross stitching, and all other fiber arts are welcome.
The Finland Winter Farmers Market is held on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 12:30 to 2 pm at the Clair Nelson Community Center. More information is available at finlandfarmersmarket.com.
Bone Builders is a group exercise weight training program that was created for adults who are interested in preventing and reducing osteoporosis. Bone Builders meets at the Lutsen Town Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am.
Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is available on Tuesdays at the Cook County Community Center from 9 am to 3 pm. This program offers tax help to seniors and people of low to moderate income. No appointment is needed. First come, first served.
