Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room.
Cook County Higher Education is hosting North Shore Women Veterans Support & Connection Group on Tuesday, April 28, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The group will be facilitated by Cook County Veterans Services Officer Karen Christianson. No registration is required. More information at myCCHE.org/events.
The Grand Marais City Council meets on the second and last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. More information at ci.grand-marais.mn.us.
The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
Drop-in Modern Dance Classes will take place on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Colvill Town Hall. The classes are designed for adults of all abilities in a welcoming, non-judgmental space. More information is available by email, DropInPractice@gmail.com.
The 34th Annual Cook County Emergency Services Conference will be held Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, at the Cook County Community Center. The event brings together a wide range of participants, including local firefighters, EMS personnel, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, local law enforcement, dispatch teams, search and rescue, and emergency management.
