Community Baby Shower
A Community Baby Shower designed for parents-to-be and families with children up to age three will be held at the Cook County Community Center on Saturday, September 19, from 9 am to noon. Reframe Aging Monthly Roundtable
Care Partners of Cook County hosts a reframe aging monthly roundtable on the third Monday of each month from 12:15 to 1:45 pm at The Hub. A specially-selected book of the month serves as a springboard for the discussion. More information is available at carepartnersofcookcounty.org.
Nature Presentation Interactions at Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center
Weekly nature presentations are held on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum (in case of inclement weather, the presentations will be held indoors at the Nature Center) on Mondays at 1 pm. All are welcome.

The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room.
Happy Hikers
The Happy Hikers organize a weekly hike on Tuesdays at 9 am. The September 22 hike will be at SHT 270 Degree Overlook. The group will meet at the Cook County YMCA Parking Lot near the tennis courts to carpool, or meet at the trailhead. More information is available on the Happy Hikers – Cook Co.
